Meissen Harlequin figure with birdcage and bird

Harlequin in lively movement, holding the captured pigeon in his raised right hand. His jacket is painted with a coloured diamond pattern and playing cards, golden buttons and braids. The typical round harlequin hat is black with a red rosette.

Meissen model by Johann Friedrich Eberlein, August 1743 casting and decoration shortly afterwards; height: 13.2 cm; mould number 456 The model exists in three versions (including one without a birdcage)
