A quatrefoil tray with two rocaillé handles. The rim decorated with 'Altozier relief' (used since 1735) with four cartouches containing extremely fine polychrome painting: 'Kauffahrtei' and Watteau scenes, castles, architecture, Dutch landscapes. In the background a large, deep river landscape with a castle prospect and people in courtly dress. The cups are quatrefoil-shaped, with rocaille handles, relief decor and with cartouches on both sides with corresponding painting. In the 18th century, Rosoli was a popular Italian herbal liqueur that was served as a digestive after the meal. Compare: Köllmann in Keramos 100 / 1983 pp. 137-148; Rückert 1966 no. 598 ff.; Coll.
