Beak jug, painted by Franz Ferdinand Meyer of Pressnitz

With views after Merian engravings of Meissen and Trier / Finest caligraphic gold ornaments, gilded copper mounting / Meissen circa 1740, painted in the early 1750s / 19 cm high, swords mark, press number "21" (the same as on the jug from the collection of Countess Thyssen-Zichy).

Very fine veduta painting in iron red camaieu. Both cartouches framed by rich calligraphic gold borders, also the neck as well as the back of the handle. The porcelain lid, which also covers the muzzle, painted in the same manner.
