Meissen porcelain c. 1725, the painting c. 1740/50
Rocaillé cartouche enriched with foliage and scrollwork in iron red and purple, coloured floral bouquets. Two oval recesses within: Sundial and the inscription "Mon regard à toi" (my gaze on you). Kneeling man, invoking the sun, Inscription "J'adore qui m'inflamme" ("I adore the one who inflames me"). Without mark, Ø12.4 cm.
