The sale of this object is based on an agreement with the Heirs of Franz and Margarete Oppenheimer. This resolves any dispute over ownership of the work and title will pass to the buyer.

Der Krug gehört zu einer kleinen, exquisiten Gruppe von etwa 15 bekannten Meissener Porzellanen von Anfang der 1720er Jahre, die Schnorr von Carolsfeld in seinem Vorwort zum Katalog der Sammlung Margarete und Franz Oppenheimer dem Maler Christoph Horn zugeschrieben hat. Es gibt nur insg. 7 Walzenkrüge.
