Meissen beaker with saucer, painted with early seascapes

Slim beaker on a foot ring, flared and splayed towards the opening. A wide gilded lace border hangs from the gilded lip rim. On both sides, there is a tall, vertical, golden quatrefoil cartouche set against a lustrous background, enriched with foliage and strapwork in iron red and purple, connected in the narrow spaces between them by ornamental decorations. Above and below these ornaments are small, colorful "Indian" floral garlands and tendrils.
Painting within the cartouches: Delicate seascapes, partly inspired by Chinese motifs, featuring figures, riders, and sailing boats.

Corresponding saucer on a foot ring, flat central area, with the rim slightly pressed outward and a gilded lace border hanging inward. In the center, a large quatrefoil cartouche depicting a Sino-European landscape with rocky tunnels, architectural elements, and figures with a dog, set behind partially overturned vase pedestals and tall trees.
